ScenarioPulse

Long-term pension forecasting, made accessible.

Available today: Spain, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom — see the full country catalog.

Run projections

Select a country and assumptions, run a demographic — and, for Spain, financial — projection in seconds.

Compare scenarios

Add multiple scenarios to a single chart — the “fan of forecasts” — and see how assumptions drive outcomes.

Compare countries

Put any set of countries side by side — age structure, mortality, fertility and migration, one chart per metric.

The modeling engine runs up to three sequential steps:

  1. Demographic projection — projects the population by age and sex forward in time using mortality, fertility, and migration assumptions. Available for every country.
  2. Beneficiary projection — estimates the number of pension recipients per year from the projected population.
  3. Financial projection — computes payouts, present value, and expenditure as a share of GDP.

Steps 2–3 (the Pensions model) are calibrated for Spain today; the other countries currently run demographic projections only — see each country’s page for what’s activated.

Assumptions are stored as dated reference sets. Scenarios mix and match them — change one variable, keep everything else fixed, and the effect shows up directly on the chart.
